Quality Systems Specialist

This role focuses on quality systems within an industrial/aerospace context, involving process analysis, compliance, audits, and root cause corrective actions. It does not involve the direct development or deployment of AI/ML models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problem
  2. Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development
  3. Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed
  4. Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation
  5. Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability

Skills

Required

  • 5 years of experience on military aircraft platform
  • Root Cause Corrective Action experience
  • 1+ years of experience in the application of AS9100
  • Experience in conducting internal audits
  • 1+ Minimum year of experience in a dedicated Quality role
  • Willing to travel up to 50% both domestic and international

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of aircraft maintenance / modification experience
  • 8210 / AFI 21-101 / 4790 experience
  • Ability to collaborate with Engineers to develop repair procedures for nonconformances
  • Able to research and create clear depiction problems for engineering to help solve problems that arise using Vector, IQDS, Retrofit Configuration System, Tableau and REDARS
  • Knowledge of how to research and initiate a change to Technical Data and Engineer blueprints to match real time configuration
  • Active security clearance
