The Quantum Error Correction Software Engineer will join the Quantum System Architecture & Software team to lead the creation, implementation, and optimization of software codes for Intel quantum hardware, and lead research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leads the creation, implementation, and optimization of software codes specifically for Intel quantum hardware constraints.
  2. Lead the research and development of quantum error correction protocols for fully fault tolerant quantum computing systems.
  3. Explore the performance of technology alternatives, collaborating with algorithm and application researchers, software engineers and hardware engineers to explore hardware/software trade-offs in the implementation of quantum error correcting codes.
  4. Collaborate closely with both quantum computing hardware and software teams

Skills

Required

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field
  • Experience in designing quantum error correction protocols
  • Ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment

Nice to have

  • Quantum computing industrial experience
  • Experience researching and developing QEC codes for specific hardware constraints

What the JD emphasized

  • Ph.D. in Physics, Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field (plus 1+ years experience).
  • Experience in designing quantum error correction protocols (1+ years).
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver significant results in a multidisciplinary environment.
