Figure AI is seeking an experienced Hardware Test Engineer with a strong mechanical background to lead the testing of actuators and motion/force sensors for their humanoid robot. The role involves designing and setting up testing systems, selecting components, troubleshooting, and collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure robust hardware development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own testing of actuators and sensors, including CAD design/setup of testing systems
  2. Work alongside software-focused test engineer to troubleshoot test hardware
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather test requirements and author test procedures
  4. Document integration processes, test plans, and validation results
  5. Provide actionable feedback to hardware R&D engineers, contributing to efficient development of new hardware solutions
