Mechanical Engineer supporting R&D generator projects, developing parts, tooling, and fixtures, and supporting build and test activities for medical devices. Role involves design, fabrication, documentation, testing, and transfer to manufacturing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to design, assemble, and test products as well as supporting tooling and fixtures.
  2. Fabricate fixtures and tooling for product builds and testing (e.g., mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic).
  3. Create and maintain accurate documentation for concepts, designs, drawings, fixtures, tooling, test methods, processes, and build instructions.
  4. Perform product and process characterization for products, tooling, and fixtures.
  5. Participate in requirements development and testing activities.

Skills

Required

  • BS in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with 3D CAD software; SolidWorks preferred
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
  • Familiarity with GMP, GDP, and good laboratory practices
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 lbs as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
