What you'd actually do

  1. Develop innovative electrical systems for groundbreaking ophthalmic platforms including for laser vision correction, phaco and laser cataract surgery, ocular surface disease, and emerging surgical systems.
  2. Develop and deliver robust and safe electrical systems for medical devices throughout the product development lifecycle, including the concept phase and research, requirements and specifications, design, coding, visualization, simulation, testing, integration and debugging, manufacturing, and post-launch support.
  3. Research new technologies and applications, and develop concept proofs and prototypes.
  4. Develop system algorithms and communication protocols.
  5. Develop mixed signal, power electronics, motor control, and digital circuit designs and layouts of simple to sophisticated printed circuit boards.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field and 6 years of experience
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field and 4 years of experience
