RTX RTX · Aerospace · marlborough, MA +1 · Engineering

Radar Systems Engineer II role at RTX focusing on core systems engineering activities including developing system requirements, radar software requirements, radar processing algorithms, concepts of operations, and system interfaces. The role involves troubleshooting, data analysis, developing analysis tools, and modeling/simulation for mission-critical defense systems. Requires a STEM degree and experience in systems software, hardware, requirements, integration, or test, with proficiency in C++, Python, or MATLAB. Experience with radar system design, radar processing algorithms, and digital engineering tools is preferred. Requires an active DoD Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop system requirements, radar software requirements, radar processing algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
  2. Develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) for radar systems in support of mission needs.
  3. Perform radar processing algorithm development and conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data.
  4. Develop analysis tools to support problem identification, troubleshooting, and system performance evaluation.
  5. Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
