What you'd actually do

  1. Development of antenna or radome hardware and requirements.
  2. Working with interdisciplinary engineering teams including thermal, structural, mechanical, systems, etc.
  3. Working with antenna manufacturing suppliers.
  4. Antenna modeling and simulation execution on workstations and high performance computing resources (HPC)
  5. Interpret simulation or measurement test data to verify performance to requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Experience and/or coursework with RF and electromagnetic theory
  • Proficiency with modeling & simulation tools such as HFSS, CST, FEKO, SENTRi and/or GRASP

Nice to have

  • ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard.
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
  • Solid background and practical understanding of designing GPS antenna systems (to include experience or relevant course work).
  • Model generation and simulation experience with conformal antennas (to include experience or relevant course work).
  • Proficiency with Python, MATLAB and/or other high level scientific programming languages
  • Proficiency with high performance computing (HPC) environments and schedulers such as SLURM
