Recruiting Coordinator (contract)

This role is for a Recruiting Coordinator at Upstart, an AI lending marketplace. The coordinator will be responsible for interview scheduling, ensuring a seamless candidate experience, and maintaining candidate records in the applicant tracking system. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in recruiting operations and scheduling tools being a plus. The company uses AI extensively in its lending platform, but this role is not directly involved in building or deploying AI.

What you'd actually do

  1. Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
  2. Provide an exceptional experience for all stakeholders including candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers.
  3. Actively identify opportunities for streamlining recruitment processes, contributing ideas, and implementing improvements.
  4. Be an active participant in recruitment strategy meetings to understand the needs of the hiring team.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in our applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) and scheduling system (ModernLoop).

  • Assist with various administrative tasks related to recruitment, such as preparing interview materials, coordinating travel arrangements (if applicable), and managing recruitment-related documentation.
  • Represent Upstart’s Recruiting function in a positive and professional manner for both internal and external stakeholders

Nice to have

  • 1+ years of experience in Recruiting Operations
  • Previous experience with scheduling or calendaring (Greenhouse and ModernLoop is a plus)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
