Recurring Drone Pilot

This role is for a Recurring Drone Pilot responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of drones in production and broadcast environments, including gaining necessary approvals for live sporting events and traveling to event sites. Responsibilities include ensuring safe drone operation, maintaining records, serving as remote pilot in command, assisting with UAS clearances and maintenance, and training in flight procedures. Required qualifications include a valid FAA Part 107 certification, US driver's license, knowledge of FAA regulations, experience in UAS operations within a production environment, non-linear editing systems, and a minimum of 50 logged flight hours. The role also requires regular travel and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure safe operation of Unmanned Aerial Systems (drones) in compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
  2. Maintain records as required for training, flights, and equipment.
  3. Serve as remote pilot in command or visual observer as needed.
  4. Assist with UAS clearances and approvals as assigned.
  5. Assist with maintenance, logging, and upkeep on the fleet of company-owned UAS.

Skills

Required

  • FAA Part 107 certification
  • US driver's license
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 107 regulations
  • UAS operations experience in a production environment
