Regional Sales Director for Public Sector in Germany, responsible for leading and managing Regional Sales Managers to achieve sales strategy and goals. This role involves strategic planning, communication of corporate strategy, pipeline generation, forecasting, customer relationship development, goal setting, resource identification, opportunity qualification, coaching, personnel management, and reporting to senior leadership. Requires proven experience in the German New Business market, tech industry, first-line sales leadership, people management, relationship building, executive negotiation, public sector sales into Germany, and understanding of cybersecurity technologies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Participating in strategic planning sessions with the sales management team on a quarterly and annual basis.
  2. Communicating corporate strategy to employees within the German region.
  3. Planning and directing activities including sales pipeline generation, forecasting, customer relationship development and satisfaction.
  4. Establishing short-term and long-term goals, metrics and quotas in line with corporate and regional objectives.
  5. Identify and enable needed resources for supporting the German sales strategy.

Skills

Required

  • Proven experience with, knowledge of, and network within the German New Business market, notably within the tech industry
  • Experience in a first line sales leader role and having worked in a people leadership position is required
  • Passionate relationship building and executive level negotiating skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across functions including Channel, Marketing, Sales Operations, System Engineering, Services Customer Support, and Product Development.
  • Experience with selling into Public Sector Accounts in Germany
  • Experience as a successful Regional Sales Director with a track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas in the German region
  • Experience with target account selling, solution selling, and/or consultative sales techniques.
  • An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Sales organizations and technical teams.
  • A demonstrated ability to manage professional level employees.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude.
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills.
  • Written and spoken fluency in German and English.

  • Strong understanding of Cybersecurity technologies and competitive offerings in the marketplace is advantageous.
