This role focuses on managing regulatory compliance and operational resilience within the financial industry, specifically for Ripple. It involves leading the Business Continuity Management Program, identifying risks, defining impact tolerances, facilitating testing, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements like FCA, MAS, and EU DORA. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and reporting to senior management and committees.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the identification and lifecycle management of Important Business Services and Critical Business Services.
  2. Maintain comprehensive mapping of people, processes, technology, and data. Proactively identify Single Points of Failure and concentration risks, particularly within Ripple’s critical ICT third-party service providers.
  3. Define and calibrate Impact Tolerances and Recovery Objectives. Establish measurable metrics to ensure Ripple remains within these thresholds during disruptions.
  4. Facilitate a cross-functional, multi-layered testing program to validate that recovery strategies are effective across global jurisdictions.
  5. Support Crisis Management and Business Resumption teams, ensuring response protocols focus on maintaining service delivery and meeting regulatory notification timelines.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience running Resilience or Risk programs in the financial industry
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and business impact analysis
  • Experience in designing and facilitating readiness tests
  • Ability to leverage tooling solutions for centralized data management, dependency mapping, and real-time reporting
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
