Figure AI is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer for their humanoid robots. The role involves designing and executing hardware reliability tests for various robot components and systems, performing root cause analysis on failures, and ensuring products meet reliability targets from prototype to mass production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop reliability test setup for actuators, batteries, structures, wirings, sensors, modules and full system etc. according to robot-specific usage and life requirements.
  2. Authorise test procedures and train engineers/technicians to execute the test..
  3. Manage multiple reliability test workstreams in parallel.
  4. Report test status and results to cross-functional teams.
  5. Own the Failure-to-Fix Lifecycle: Lead deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) on all reliability failures; design and execute reproduction tests to isolate root causes, and develop rigorous validation protocols to verify that design iterations have successfully mitigated the failure mode.
