Relief Pharmacist

This role is for a Relief Pharmacist at Walmart, responsible for assisting with all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring excellent patient experience, accurately filling prescriptions, maintaining patient privacy, and adhering to provincial regulations. The role involves direct patient interaction, medication counseling, and collaboration with healthcare providers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.

Skills

Required

  • Pharmacist License
  • Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.)
  • Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body.
  • Ensure patients receive all eligible services they are entitled to (medication reviews, injections etc.) to meet specific patient needs.

Nice to have

  • Additional Prescribing Authorization (secondary optional permit in Alberta)
