The Relief Pharmacist assists the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations, ensuring excellent patient experience, accurate prescription filling, and adherence to provincial regulations. This role involves direct patient interaction, medication counseling, and maintaining pharmacy operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure excellent patient experience, locate merchandise on the sales floor.
  2. Establish and develop a strong working relationship with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders.
  3. Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from Customers, Doctors or Hospitals.
  4. Ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely using the established workflow models and counsel all patients on sold pharmaceutical products.
  5. Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.

Skills

Required

  • Pharmacist License
  • Ability to operate all equipment in the pharmacy (register, computer system etc.)
  • Protect and maintain patient privacy at all times
  • follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body
  • follow OBW regulations as per the Relief Pharmacist program
  • travel to various locations and follow the schedules set by the Relief program coordinator
