Renewal Manager

PagerDuty is seeking a Renewal Manager to manage subscription renewals and retention for assigned customers. The role involves developing negotiation strategies, maintaining Salesforce data, identifying customer requirements, managing renewal risks, and identifying up-sell opportunities. The ideal candidate has experience in renewals management, account management, or sales in a technology/SaaS company, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the subscription renewals process for an assigned customer list and collaborate with internal resources to preserve and improve customer contracts and relationships
  2. In coordination with the Customer Success manager, execute the customer success plays to increase software adoption and deliver business value to your accounts
  3. Develop and execute negotiation strategies for customer subscription renewals that maximize contract value while protecting and enhancing customer trust
  4. Maintain accurate information in Salesforce for accounts, opportunities, customer contacts, renewal pipeline, and forecast
  5. Identify customer requirements, uncover roadblocks, and demonstrate strong account management to drive renewal to on-time closure

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in renewals management, account management, inside sales, Customer Success Management, or a renewal sales role
  • Working experience in a technology or SaaS company
  • Knowledge of IT operations and IT development organizations, systems, and tools

Nice to have

  • Software subscription experience a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
