Experienced Repair Station Mechanic at Boeing Global Services in SeaTac, WA, performing rework assignments on damaged aircraft parts and assemblies. What you'd actually do

  1. Work with and assist engineering to develop and redesign parts and assemblies from raw materials.
  2. Perform Composite and Metal Bond repairs per Production Specifications and Post Production Engineering Data (Component Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manuals, etc).
  3. Use engineering drawings, Service Bulletins, PSDS process specifications, Repair drawings, Wiring diagrams, Vendor manuals, planning orders and verbal instructions to accomplish rework/repair.
  4. Ensure that changes made to parts and assemblies conform to FAA (PC 700) and FAR 145 standards when procedures and specifications are not clearly defined.
  5. Disassemble components/assemblies to access area to be repaired or reworked.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of experience in composites repair
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lb
  • 2+ years of performing aircraft structural and mechanical work
  • 2+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures

Nice to have

  • Experience working with or repairing carbon fiber composites
  • A&P License or 8610 form (if prior military)
