Research intern role focused on advancing next-gen AI systems where humans and AI agents collaborate. The role involves research in areas like foundation models, reinforcement learning, multi-objective optimization, NLP, deep learning, interactive learning, agents, causal reasoning, computational social science, and human-AI collaboration, with a focus on shifting AI systems development towards optimizing complex objectives like group-level outcomes and team coordination. The internship is 12 weeks and involves collaboration with researchers and presenting findings.

  2. Research Interns not only advance their own careers, but they also contribute to exciting research and development strides.
  3. During the 12-week internship, Research Interns are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other Research Interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community.

Skills

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • At least one year of experience in conducting research, writing peer-reviewed publications and software development.

Nice to have

  • Ability to think unconventionally to derive creative and innovative solutions.
  • Three years of experience in conducting research, writing peer-reviewed publications and software development.
  • Actively conducting research in at least one of the following areas: Foundation Models, Reinforcement Learning, Multi-Objective Optimization, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Interactive Learning, Agents, Causal Reasoning, Computational Social Science, Computational Economics, Human-AI Collaboration, or Artificial Intelligence.
