Microsoft Research India is seeking a Researcher with a PhD in Computer Science or related disciplines to advance innovation in AI/ML, Theory, Technology & Empowerment, and Systems. The role involves tackling open research problems, developing new models and scalable ML architectures, and driving research towards impactful publications and influencing industry trends. Collaboration with researchers, engineers, and product teams is expected, with opportunities for mentoring.

What you'd actually do

  1. We are looking for researchers with strong scientific and analytical skills.
  2. The candidate should be comfortable dealing with open research problems, new ideas, and evolving directions, and should play different roles in the research effort as needed.
  3. The candidate will work closely with other researchers, engineers, product teams, and internal/external partners, and take ownership of driving research toward impactful publications and influencing industry trends.
  4. This also provides a great opportunity to receive mentoring as well as to mentor and lead interns and other team members.
