This role focuses on retention and engagement marketing for HBO Max in ANZ, aiming to increase usage, reduce churn, and grow customer lifetime value through data-driven, cross-channel campaigns and lifecycle programs. It involves owning the marketing roadmap, designing personalized campaigns, managing experimentation, and collaborating with various teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and execute the ANZ retention and engagement marketing roadmap and calendar
  2. Design and deliver highly personalized, cross-channel campaigns (email, push, in-app, etc.) that drive sustained viewing and loyalty
  3. Build lifecycle programs spanning onboarding, habit formation, churn prevention, win-back, and upsell
  4. Use data and segmentation to target the right message to the right customer at the right time
  5. Develop and run structured experimentation programs (A/B and multivariate testing) to optimize performance

Skills

Required

  • 5–7+ years of experience in CRM, lifecycle, or retention marketing
  • Hands-on expertise with marketing automation platforms
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, behavioral segmentation, and personalization strategies
  • Proven ability to use data to inform decisions and improve campaign performance
  • Experience running experimentation programs and interpreting results
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Looker) and comfort working with large datasets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional written English and sensitivity to tone and audience for ANZ markets

Nice to have

  • Ideally in subscription, digital, or e-commerce businesses
  • Relevant platform certifications are a plus
