Rf Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Oregon, Hillsboro, United States +3

Designs, develops, and verifies complex radio frequency integrated circuits and creates verification test plans for RF validation. This role involves transistor level feasibility analysis, floorplan and layout definition, test bench creation, and debugging designs to meet specifications. It requires an understanding of electromagnetic theory, communication theory, RF test equipment, RF circuit design, RF system analysis, and RF measurements. The role also involves reviewing system specifications and design plans for compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Defines, designs, and develops complex radio frequency integrated circuits and creates verification test plans for RF validation in Process Design Kits.
  2. Conducts transistor level feasibility analysis, defines floorplan and layout for RF circuit architecture, creates test benches, and verifies and debugs design to meet the desired specifications.
  3. Reviews system specifications and design plans to ensure that designs meet customer needs and is compliant with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  4. Designs new product concepts and prototypes, creates detailed drawings of circuit designs, and develops and analyzes test procedures.
  5. Applies understanding of electromagnetic theory, communication theory, radio frequency test equipment, RF and wireless circuit design, RF system analysis, RF system block characterization, and Lab RF Measurements, sil2sim, sim2sim, Data Collection, Analysis and Reporting.
