Risk Management - Risk Architecture - Vice President

This role focuses on data reconnaissance, exploratory work, and transforming data into usable data products within a risk management context at JPMorgan Chase. It involves participating in the development and optimization of Customer Analytical Data products, including design, testing, performance tuning, metadata management, and handover to support teams. The role also includes leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts on AWS and DataBricks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with stakeholders to develop requirements for creating new attributes
  2. Conduct requirement grooming sessions with the development teams
  3. Develop and execute UAT test cases
  4. Work with the Data Review Board to get attributes certified
  5. Research and remediate data issues in the existing attributes
  6. Create metadata and lineage reports

Skills

Required

  • Expert in SQL
  • experience in Unix and Hadoop/Hive
  • Expert in developing process flows and documenting metadata
  • Experience in developing web interfaces (SharePoint, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience in understanding and following the Agile methodology
  • Experience with AWS tools
  • Experience with Data Quality monitoring and reconciliation processes
  • Degree in a quantitative field: Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, Biostatistics, Operations Research, Computing and Information Theory, Industrial / Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • Experience managing the performance of a high impact team of product analysts

Nice to have

  • AWS practitioner Certification
  • Experience with AWS tools (AAAS and Data Bricks preferred)
  • Knowledge of banking data and concepts
  • Comfortable manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data
  • Ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
