This role is for a Risk Manager within Capital One's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team, specifically in the Corporate Policy Office (CPO). The primary focus is on establishing and executing a sustainable policy program to govern and improve the quality of policy documents across the enterprise. The role involves partnering with stakeholders, developing and implementing processes, and ensuring adherence to enterprise policy requirements. Key responsibilities include contributing to policy program development, communication, editing, review, adherence monitoring, and developing training materials. The role requires experience in audit, quality assurance, or risk management, process/project management, and client interaction. While the company is in the AI space, this specific role is focused on policy and risk management, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contribute to the development and execution of a sustainable policy program to govern and improve the quality of policy documents across the Enterprise
  2. Develop and deliver communications and presentations via ERM communication channels and CPO-led forums
  3. Write, contribute to, edit, and deliver other communications (including presentations) that aid in the design, development, refinement, and usage of risk management functions, practices, and activities
  4. Engage in the review of policy documents and partners with policy stakeholders to drive consistency and improve content in policy documents
  5. Conduct effective challenge on policy documents at various stages in the policy management lifecycle

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of audit, quality assurance or risk management experience
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering, and interacting with internal business clients
  • At least 2 years of experience in process or project management

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctorate (JD)
