Stripe is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst for their Financial Crimes team. This role focuses on ensuring policies, operations, and workflows align with the needs of financial partners, identifying and assessing financial crime risks, and building scalable operational processes for compliance and risk mitigation. The analyst will demonstrate sound judgment, communicate effectively, and identify gaps in systems and policies to recommend improvements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Demonstrate sound judgment and an ability to navigate non-binary, high-risk decisions.
  2. Adhere closely to process while still constantly questioning assumptions, suggesting improvements, and balancing user experience with compliance requirements.
  3. Effectively and clearly communicate with other Stripes, Stripe's users, and Stripe's financial partners.
  4. Identify and assess financial crime risks, conduct reviews using data analysis, and monitor for suspicious activity and trends.
  5. Facilitate the re-design of business processes including clarifying, identifying issues, and facilitating changes to attain the highest levels of efficiency, control, and compliance.

  • Operational Management & Scaled Operations: Experience driving operational outcomes and managing large-scale operations through vendor partnerships, third-party integrations, and automated solutions to achieve efficiency and scalability in compliance processes.
