Risk Operations Associate, Verifications (cdmx)

Stripe Stripe · Fintech · Mexico · 4374 SDC - Partner Risk Operations

Stripe is seeking a Risk Operations Associate for their Mexico City office. This role involves supporting large-user special handling, migrations, and ORR activities. Responsibilities include reviewing KYC/KYB documents, running data queries, managing queues, troubleshooting with users, and leading large-scale migrations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, analytical problem-solving, and operational skills, with a user-first approach. Prior experience in risk and compliance within fintech is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, lead and execute large-user migrations end-to-end: coordinate technical steps, apply migration-based grace periods (AMP), monitor progress, resolve blockers, and ensure smooth onboarding at scale.
  2. Run and interpret Hubble/SQL queries and build simple dashboards to track migration status, rejection rates/types, SLAs, and backlogs; use data to set priorities and drive migration decisions.
  3. Configure internal systems queues for migration workflows: create, update, close queues and set routing/prioritization rules to support high-volume changes.
  4. Execute and validate reporting and API integrations for large users during migrations; troubleshoot data, sync, or integration issues.
  5. Review KYC/KYB documents and make verification decisions for onboarding and exception cases.
