Robotic Operations Technician

Figure AI is seeking a Robotic Operations Technician to work directly with their humanoid robots, teaching them new behaviors, performing maintenance, and deploying them for commercial use. This role involves operating the robot, conducting integration and testing, communicating with customers, performing field repairs, and collaborating with engineering teams. The technician will also collect data to train AI systems and refine robot behaviors.

What you'd actually do

  1. Operate a humanoid robot
  2. Conduct on-site integration and test activities
  3. Be able to explain complex issues and processes to our customer operations team in clear and simple language, using customer service techniques to de-escalate customer concerns and keep customers informed.
  4. Execute field repairs. Work with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on troubleshooting field issues
  5. Use clear written communication to describe issues and bugs seen in the field and suggest potential solutions

Skills

Required

  • Hands-on experience solving issues with complex electro-mechanical equipment
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows GUI and CLI
  • Basic familiarity with wiring/electronics (Multimeters, O-Scope, etc.)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to follow step-by-step safety procedures exactly
  • Willingness to work in hot/cold and uncomfortable conditions
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and other engineering-produced documentation
  • Experience reading debug machine output and logs
  • Be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Be able to stand and operate a humanoid robot for up to 8 hours a day

Nice to have

  • Robotics experience preferred
  • Experience in field services or deployment positions is a plus
  • A passion for helping scale the deployment of learning humanoid robots.
  • Spanish language proficiency
