Applied Intuition Applied Intuition · Robotics · Sunnyvale, CA · General Software Engineering

Robotics Engineer role focused on building general-purpose robots, working across the full stack from low-level controls to fleet deployment. The role involves designing, implementing, and tuning core robotics software, integrating hardware and software subsystems, and debugging failures on physical robots. Emphasis on C++ development, real-time systems, and robotics fundamentals, with a nice-to-have for ML/RL experience.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design, implement, and tune core robotics software spanning locomotion, whole-body control, and manipulation for bi-dexterous robot platforms
  2. Bring up software and hardware on new robot generations and own subsystem integration across actuators, sensors, motor controllers, and onboard compute
  3. Develop and maintain real-time control software in C++ with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance and testability
  4. Build simulation infrastructure and validate behaviors in physics-based environments before deploying to hardware
  5. Debug failures on physical robots and analyze telemetry and log data to identify root causes and improve system robustness

Skills

Required
