This role is a Consumables Sub-Category Lead for non-product items at RTX, a large aerospace and defense company. The primary responsibilities include leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing contracts, analyzing RFPs, driving cost savings, and collaborating with business unit stakeholders. The role requires significant experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, with a focus on financial alignment and supplier performance improvement. It is not directly related to AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Deliver detailed analytical and quantitative support for proposal development and business case evaluations to ensure financial viability and alignment with corporate objectives.
  2. Address contract-related inquiries and provide oversight to ensure compliance with terms, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with financial goals.
  3. Aggregate and report power steering cost savings to enhance visibility and inform financial planning.
  4. Support the creation and alignment of scopes of work (SOW) to ensure consistency with RTX strategies and financial directives.
  5. Work closely with BU stakeholders to maintain strategic and financial alignment with RTX objectives, ensuring cohesive decision-making.

Skills

Required

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience
  • Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategies and results
  • Proven ability to work with a Global & Regional teams to achieve results through leadership and influence
