Honeywell is seeking a Safety & Compliance Specialist to ensure product compliance with regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements for material handling and robotic solutions. The role involves evaluating standards, conducting risk assessments, advising on compliance, and training teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Know and evaluate applicable North American MHE-related safety standards and stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and industry best practices
  2. Provide internal subject matter expertise on MHE and Robotic Compliance Standards (ASME B20.1, ANSI RIA R15.06, ANSI RIA R15.08, ANSI B11.19, CSA Z432, CSA Z434, etc.)
  3. Conduct and advise product and project risk assessments during project planning in cross-functional teams and develop/execute specific auditing procedures,
  4. Analyze and evaluate electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic circuit diagrams to ensure compliance with functional safety requirements (PL, SIL) of machine controls
  5. Review product and system documentation for compliance with legal requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial, electrical, mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in product regulatory compliance or related field
  • Knowledge of product regulations and standards
  • Technical safety awareness
  • Analytical skills
  • Problem-solving skills

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Engineering or related field
  • Occupational Safety or Safety Management background
  • Experience in product regulatory compliance
  • Comprehension and practical application of risk assessments
  • Experience certifying new products according to applicable legislation
