This role leads a regional Safety Response Operations team, focusing on managing high-risk safety cases, ensuring product safety, compliance, and user trust. It involves people leadership, operational ownership, and cross-functional coordination with Legal, Policy, and Product teams. The role also contributes directly to handling complex cases and identifying emerging risks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and coach a regional team of Safety Response Analysts, ensuring high performance, engagement, and consistent decision quality.
  2. Own regional operational outcomes, including utilization, SLA adherence, backlog health, and quality benchmarks.
  3. Handle and oversee the most complex and high-risk cases, serving as the first line of escalation and incident lead for your region.
  4. Contribute directly to frontline work (20–30%), including investigations, enforcement decisions, and regulatory or legal escalations.
  5. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Policy, Legal, Investigations, and local market teams to execute safety outcomes and manage risk.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years in Trust & Safety, Risk Operations, Investigations, Fraud, Annotation, or platform integrity
  • 4+ years of people leadership or senior-level operational ownership
  • Strong decision-making in ambiguous, high-risk environments
  • Clear and credible communication of complex safety and risk decisions
  • Ability to translate between frontline operations and strategic stakeholders
  • Influencing without authority
  • Familiarity with content moderation, user safety, fraud, or developer risk frameworks
  • Experience using data, tooling, and automation to improve quality, efficiency, and scale
  • Comfort leading in a 24/7, high-pressure operational environment
