Stripe is hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their in-office team in Chicago. This role focuses on connecting prospective customers with Stripe's products, working in partnership with Marketing and Sales teams to create a high-quality pipeline. The position is part of a Sales Development Associate program designed for new grads, offering accelerated onboarding and training. Responsibilities include reaching out to potential customers, pitching products, booking meetings, and collaborating with senior sellers. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach and offers a path for promotion into Account Executive roles for top performers.

What you'd actually do

  1. Contact potential customers through cold-calling, email, and social channels, or by responding to inquiries generated from Marketing activities.
  2. Book meetings with potential customers (prospects) and pitch them on Stripe’s products that are a match for their business model.
  3. Develop relationships with prospects to uncover specific business needs through effective, consultative questioning to qualify interest and prepare a comprehensive hand-off to sales.
  4. Research and create compelling outreach materials for high-value prospects, in partnership with SDRs and Account Executives.
  5. Execute outbound sales outreach created by marketing, leveraging strategic messaging to target specific segments.
