Sales Development Representative

This is a Sales Development Representative role at Zendesk, focused on driving new business and managing inbound leads for the EMEA region. The role involves qualifying opportunities, upselling/cross-selling, and building customer relationships. While Zendesk uses AI in its operations and for application screening, this specific role is not directly involved in building or developing AI/ML models or systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be a key team member of the sales team, driving new business and delivering on the strategy for your region.
  2. Manage a high volume of hot inbound leads in our CRM with the goal to qualify as many high value and top quality opportunities for the Account Executives as possible.
  3. Use excellent communication skills to upsell and cross sell before passing it onto our AEs.
  4. Show creativity and flourish in a Zen environment, finding new and better ways to work.
  5. Be motivated to overachieve on targets and metrics.

Skills

Required

  • Proficient in English
  • Passion to kick-start or continue a career in consultative sales.
  • Business experience (SaaS sales preferred / business internship), and examples of being customer centric and curious.
  • A “Can Do” / “Winner” attitude, with a hunger and 'self-starter' commitment to overachieve and succeed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model on a weekly bases: Lisbon office and remotely

Nice to have

  • Experience in Sales a bonus but not essential if you have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
