Verkada is seeking a Sales Development Representative in Sydney to drive pipeline and generate new business opportunities for the Account Executive team. This is a sales role focused on outbound prospecting and lead qualification, serving as a development program for future Account Executives.

What you'd actually do

  1. Daily outbound cold calling to engage potential customers.
  2. Identify prospective customers and generate new business opportunities for Verkada.
  3. Qualify leads and manage them through the sales pipeline by scheduling appointments, following up, and tracking progress toward meeting pipeline goals.
  4. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to develop strategies for achieving and exceeding pipeline targets.
  5. Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to strengthen your prospecting efforts.

Skills

Required

  • 6+ months of experience in an outbound B2B sales role
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with prospects
  • Knowledge of sales/outreach methodologies and strategies
  • Strong problem-solving, objection handling and negotiation skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with an "inbox zero" mindset
  • A passion for learning and developing your tech sales career
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
