Sales Representative for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) focused on driving adoption of IaaS and PaaS environments, helping customers solve business challenges with strategic cloud solutions, and selling to C-suite, engineering, and DevOps. Requires strong understanding of OCI products, enterprise software sales experience, and a hunter mindset.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify and target new business opportunities for Oracle Cloud solutions across multiple industries to ensure coverage of the assigned territory.
  2. Develop and execute outbound strategies to generate leads through customer engagement, networking, attending events, and leveraging digital channels.
  3. Engage with senior executives (C-level) as a trusted advisor to challenge conventional approaches and deliver transformative results.
  4. Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and demonstrations of Oracle’s Cloud products and services.
  5. Lead the negotiation process, addressing customer objections and aligning contract terms with Oracle’s offerings (cloud subscriptions and perpetual licenses).

  • At least 5 years of experience in direct sales or overlay roles within the cloud industry or broader ICT industry
  • Experience selling public/private cloud services, databases, data management solutions, AI/ML technologies (including Generative AI), or similar offerings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with one or more major cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS Cloud, Microsoft Azure Cloud, or Google Cloud is required.
  • Knowledge of Oracle solutions across any of the following is advantageous but not mandatory – Industry Applications, Horizontal Applications, Hybrid-Systems, Oracle Databases & Multi-cloud solutions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and business decision-makers.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles from prospecting to closing, particularly in cloud and software licensing.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets year on year, in the assigned territory.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple sales opportunities and clients simultaneously, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • A self-motivated team player with strong collaboration skills to work effectively across internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Travel is a requirement of this role. Employee’s must be able to travel at required times for business purposes. At all times, travel must be conducted in line with the Global Travel and Entertainment Policy.
