Salesforce is seeking an Analyst for their Sales Strategy and Operations team. This role will partner with sales leadership to focus on strategic planning, sales optimization, and operational support. The analyst will use data to drive insights, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets, and guide execution. Responsibilities include defining key performance metrics, performing ad-hoc analyses, creating executive presentations, troubleshooting operational issues, and gathering data infrastructure requirements. The role requires advanced Excel, SQL, and Tableau skills, with 2-3+ years of experience in an analytical or strategy role.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define key performance metrics and targets, build reports and dashboards to derive insights into the health of the business, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadership.
  2. Perform ad-hoc analyses across multiple data sets and tools (examples of analyses include customer segmentation, sales participation, propensity to buy, white space, etc.).
  3. Create executive**-**level presentations for both local and global leadership reviews; organize quarterly business reviews.
  4. Assist in troubleshooting of operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.
  5. Data Infrastructure Requirements Gathering & Analysis - determine the needs or conditions to meet the new or altered product or project, taking account of the possibly conflicting requirements of the various stakeholders, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing software or system requirements.

Skills

Required

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience, in a highly analytical role or strategy department
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • experience with SQL and Tableau
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
