Sales Strategy Analyst

Salesforce is seeking a Sales Strategy Analyst in Tokyo, Japan, to support sales and sales support organizations by analyzing key performance indicators, setting strategic themes, and presenting recommendations to senior leadership. The role involves projects related to organizational design, business planning, market segmentation, sales performance evaluation, and industry/product strategy. Deliverables include analytical models, performance analysis, dashboards, and executive presentations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and modeling skills, experience with database analysis, project management experience, and fluency in Japanese and English.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide analysis to support mid-to-long-term investment decisions and design/build necessary models for it.
  2. Create and deliver presentations for senior executives.
  3. Conduct daily business performance analysis to support executive decision-making.
  4. Design and build analytical models through scalable reports and tools.
  5. Regularly share information and engage in improvement activities with sales organizations and related departments.

Skills

Required

  • Sales strategy and planning experience in a Large Enterprise Company's sales division or IT Tech company for 3+ years
  • Proficiency in analytical modeling and spreadsheet skills, with experience in database analysis
  • Ability to provide analysis and recommendations leading to concrete actions, and design feasible and realistic measures
  • Proactive behavior and a desire to achieve more than required tasks
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to collaborate and drive towards goals with the speed of a startup
  • Fluent Japanese and English communication skills (equivalent to TOEIC 800+)

Nice to have

  • University degree in statistics or analysis-related fields such as engineering, information science, or economics, or equivalent business experience
  • Experience in a consulting firm or a planning department of a business company
  • Experience in enabling/training junior or less experienced members in analysis and report creation
  • Experience analyzing using Salesforce, Tableau CRM, or Tableau
  • Experience with data extraction, data shaping, and big data analysis using SQL
