This role is for a Sales Tools & Strategy Manager at Samsara, a company focused on connected operations. The manager will be responsible for scaling the sales technology ecosystem, vendor strategy, and seller adoption. The role requires experience in sales operations, RevOps, or GTM strategy, with a focus on managing sales tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience with sales technology, cross-functional initiative leadership, and vendor management. This is not an AI-focused role, but rather a product/operations role within a company that may leverage AI tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the strategy and roadmap for critical sales tools , aligned to GTM priorities, seller workflows, and long-term business goals
  2. Partner with Procurement and Finance on tooling renewals, benchmarks, and vendor negotiations; shift the organization from reactive deal support to proactive tooling and renewal planning
  3. Act as the single-threaded owner for assigned sales tools from evaluation and implementation through rollout, adoption, and optimization
  4. Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across Revenue Systems, Product, Finance, CS, Legal, and Enablement, driving alignment and execution without people-management authority
  5. Manage strategic vendor relationships and influence product roadmaps to ensure tooling investments align to seller needs and business priorities (e.g., Gong, Gong Engage, Accord)
