Boeing is seeking an Associate Satellite Systems Engineer for their Global Positioning System (GPS) Navigation Payload Systems Engineer role on the GPS sustainment program. The role involves training to become a subject matter expert for the Navigation Payload on GPS Block IIF satellites, performing trending and analysis, and supporting on-orbit operations and anomaly resolution. The position requires systems engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field, with a preference for satellite operations and GPS engineering experience. A secret or above security clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide real-time support to on-orbit GPS Navigation Payload and satellite operations, including investigation of and resolution of satellite anomalies.
  2. Perform GPS Navigation Payload trending and analysis.
  3. Maintain software scripts used for data parsing and trending analysis in C#, Python, Java, and MATLAB.
  4. Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  5. Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
