Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Maintenance Tech 1 in Warner Robins, GA, responsible for the repair, modification, and maintenance of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. The role involves fabricating, assembling, disassembling electronic subassemblies, wiring circuits, replacing components, and performing routine preventative maintenance on test equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting to component level, conducting engineering tests, and performing calibration checks using various instruments. A degree in Electronics or equivalent experience, familiarity with test equipment, and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fabricates, assembles, and disassembles electronic subassemblies.
  2. Wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic assemblies
  3. Performs routine electronic preventative maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations.
  4. Performs test readings using several different instruments, including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters.
  5. Troubleshoot to component level to determine cause and remedy for malfunction.

Skills

Required

  • Associates Degree in Electronics-related field or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in Electronics related position, with 3+ years of relevant electronics experience
  • 5+ years of relevant electronics experience with High School Diploma/GED
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter (DMM) or similar test equipment
  • Ability to recognize basic electronic components and work from schematics, diagrams, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions and other process documents.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in a lab environment
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting RF assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Testing and tuning microwave assemblies.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting Electronic Warfare systems
  • Soldering experience or familiarization
  • Have a current Secret US Government clearance.
