This role involves the repair, modification, and maintenance of electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems, including troubleshooting to component level, performing routine preventative maintenance, conducting engineering tests, and performing calibration checks on electronic instruments. Requires an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience and the ability to obtain a Secret DoD clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Fabricates, assembles, and disassembles electronic subassemblies.
  2. Wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic assemblies
  3. Performs routine electronic preventative maintenance on special test equipment (STE) and test stations.
  4. Performs test readings using several different instruments, including Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Curve Tracers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators and Digital Multimeters
  5. Troubleshoot to component level to determine cause and remedy for malfunction.

Skills

Required

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics-related field or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) in Electronics related position, with 5+ years of relevant electronics experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work various shifts as needed
  • Must be able to work on-site in Warner Robins, Georgia
  • Familiarity with Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeter (DMM) or similar test equipment
  • Self–starter with ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • Ability to recognize basic electronic components and work from schematics, diagrams, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow test procedures, work instructions and other process documents.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) in a lab environment
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting RF assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Testing and tuning microwave assemblies. This involves working under a microscope, adjusting gain, band pass, noise figure by soldering small tuning tabs to the board using, signal generators, network analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting Electronic Warfare systems
  • Soldering experience or familiarization
  • Have a current Secret DoD clearance
