Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Scientific Advisor (Hematology) in Taipei, Taiwan. This role involves providing strategic and field-based support to complement marketing and sales strategies, planning and executing medical plans, identifying and building relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), acting as a liaison for investigator-initiated research, developing territory plans, providing clinical presentations, collaborating with the Clinical organization to enhance patient enrollment in clinical trials, coordinating educational workshops, collecting medical information requests, and providing scientific support at medical congresses. The role requires a BS degree in a scientific/medical discipline (MD, DO, PharmD, MSN, or PhD strongly preferred), over 3 years of clinical/research or medical affairs experience in a specific therapeutic area, proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional networks, current working knowledge of Taiwan legal, regulatory, and compliance regulations, ability to partner with the medical community, and excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Identify Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and establish and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs; connecting KOLs in academic and community centers.
  2. Act as primary liaison to investigators interested in developing and performing investigator-initiated research
  3. Develop and execute territory plans in alignment with regional and national plans of action (POAs).
  4. Provide clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions (as appropriate) in academic, community, and healthcare provider setting in both group and one-on-one situations
  5. Collaborate with the Clinical organization to enhance patient enrolment in Janssen-sponsored clinical trials by identifying appropriate clinical trial sites and interacting with investigators in ongoing studies

Skills

Required

  • BS degree in scientific and/or medical discipline
  • More than 3 years clinical/research or medical affair experience in specific therapeutic area
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional networks
  • Current working knowledge of Taiwan legal, regulatory and compliance regulations and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with health-care professionals
  • Ability to partner and maintain relationships within the medical community
  • Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills

Nice to have

  • MD, DO, PharmD, MSN or PhD strongly preferred
