Johnson & Johnson Johnson & Johnson · Pharma · Spring House, PA +1

Scientist role in Oncology biological research at Johnson & Johnson, focusing on developing therapeutics for prostate cancer. Responsibilities include designing and executing in vitro experiments, generating preclinical data packages, performing cell biology techniques, analyzing and presenting data, and staying updated with literature. Requires M.S. with 2+ years or B.S. with 3+ years of experience in cancer biology and drug discovery, with strong cell biology and assay development skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and execute sophisticated in vitro experiments, and interpret data for validation and characterization of new therapeutic agents and targets to progress programs
  2. Support the generation of comprehensive and well-designed pre-clinical data packages in support of various programs, including for IND readiness for First-In-Human (FIH) studies
  3. Routinely perform cell biology techniques. Experience in cell culture, characterization of cell lines/tissue lysates by western blotting/qPCR/etc, cell proliferation assays including Incucyte-based assays, flow cytometry/FACS, CRISPR gene knockout and Lentiviral transduction of stable cell lines, cell imaging and other functional assays, etc. is needed.
  4. Analyze, prepare, and present data to internal stakeholders and project teams
  5. Work independently and perform multiple experiments simultaneously to generate robust data packages and align with scientific strategies and demands.
