What you'd actually do

  1. Our maintenance technicians are the proactive front line of facilities by way of inspection and survey to identify problems before they impact operations.
  2. Under direction of management, the maintenance technician is expected to perform a variety of tasks, use sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals, and must be able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance deficiencies to prescribed standards.
  3. The ideal candidate is capable of creativity and latitude, strong troubleshooting skills, and professional face-to-face communication skills.
  4. Candidates must also be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures associated with industry and company standards.
  5. A successful maintenance technician must accept accountability and ownership of the site while being able to provide on-call support.

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma and 6 years or more of experience in commercial facility maintenance
  • knowledge of common industry standards, practices, and procedures within the maintenance field
  • U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
  • extensive knowledge and experience in the use of hand and power tools
  • strong mechanical aptitude
  • proficient in Microsoft Office programs to include Word, Excel, Outlook
  • ability to learn other specific programs and databases specific to the organization
  • able to independently lift a minimum of 35 pounds
  • climb ladders
  • stand for long periods of time
