Jane Street is seeking a Securities Financing Specialist to support and develop their EMEA financing capabilities. The role involves managing and negotiating financing transactions, maintaining relationships with prime brokers, optimizing the financing footprint, and contributing to the firm's long-term financing strategy. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant financing experience, a strong understanding of EMEA financing markets, and excellent analytical and communication skills. Fluency in Python, SQL, or other programming languages is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Managing and negotiating our financing transactions on a day-to-day basis across various products
  2. Maintaining and developing relationships with prime brokers and other external financing counterparties
  3. Optimising our financing footprint across counterparties, products and structures: identifying inefficiencies, reducing costs and improving terms across the book
  4. Helping to form our long-term financing strategy by improving and expanding our current activity
  5. Understanding our firmwide financing constraints and comparing financing opportunities using in-depth cost-benefit analysis

Skills

Required

  • 3-5 years of relevant financing experience at a buy-side firm or bank
  • Strong understanding of EMEA financing and stock loan markets
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with performing technical data analysis
  • Effective communicator
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Fluent in English

Nice to have

  • Experience across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, corporate bonds, ETFs)
  • Experience across financing structures (e.g., PB, swap, repo)
