What you'd actually do

  1. Assist in standardizing and consolidating portfolio reporting across all Housing investment types (SIF, MIF, SHI, AI).
  2. Prepare adhoc portfolio analysis to address questions/concerns of Risk Executives.
  3. Identify portfolio trends that Asset Management, Underwriting, Risk, etc. can leverage to make more informed decisions.
  4. Learn multiple facets of Asset Management duties, showing flexibility to help in various areas as needed.
  5. Expand scope and depth of analysis for Portfolio Management Committee reporting including quarterly updates and Annual Portfolio Review.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or real estate finance.
  • Ability to analyze, understand, and identify issues in financial statements.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail oriented and accurate, with a strong desire to learn and excel.
  • Ability to work independently and interact with various levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and competing demands for time and attention.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • Experience (e.g., internship) in real estate or related area, especially with multi-family properties.
