Security Manager for Disney Studios Australia, responsible for physical security, event security, production security, asset and content protection, investigative support, workplace security, security technology, and incident monitoring across DSA sites in Sydney and the Gold Coast. The role involves responding to emergencies, planning security for events and productions, and collaborating with various business units and external partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide oversight, assistance, and response for all security needs across the DSA sites in Sydney and the Gold Coast.
  2. Plan and coordinate NSW event security, production security, and content protection for all TWDC assets, including special events, TWDC productions, screenings and Disney Cruise Line port visits as required.
  3. Work collaboratively with all DSA business units, support functions (such as TWDC & ESPN), tenants, and productions to develop, coordinate, and promote effective security initiatives.
  4. Engage with the Studio community as an advocate for security.
  5. Respond, oversee and direct TWDC assistance and support by providing operational capabilities, technical expertise, and policy recommendations on the performance of essential services along with TWDC Global Security internal partners, APAC business partners, third-party security vendors, law enforcement, etc.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
  • 7 years' experience in a private or public sector, security-related field
  • Relevant Security Licenses (NSW)
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and management processes
  • Professional certifications in Security
  • Experience in the entertainment industry and working knowledge of production workflows with Studios
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure and deadline focused environment
  • Strong liaison skills and a well-established network within the security profession
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to examine issues from a broad perspective while considering impact beyond immediate scope
  • Logical and lateral thinker
