Security Research Intern

Internship role focused on security research for hardware development teams, involving review of designs, threat and vulnerability assessments, and creating proof-of-concepts for security risks in SoCs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review and validate the design, development, and implementation of Intel's hardware and software products and services to ensure they are secure by design.
  2. Conduct comprehensive threat assessments, design security components, and perform vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  3. Utilize formal education, judgment, and formal processes to develop innovative solutions to complex security problems.
  4. Perform research to define boundaries and create proof-of-concepts or prototypes for new ideas/exploits.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (at least 1 year remaining as an active student).
  • 6+ months of experience programming in Python.
  • 6+ months of experience in Computer Architecture.
  • Intermediate to advanced English level.
  • Unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico

Nice to have

  • Focused experience in Intel Computer Architecture.
  • Python for testing and AI.
  • Ethical Software hacking.
  • Hardware Description Language like Verilog.
  • Using source version control and CI/CD tools like GitHub.
  • Developing automated applications, tools, and exploits.
  • Hardware validation/debug
