Datadog is looking for a Security Sales Engineer to support their enterprise security sales team. This role involves understanding customer security needs, demonstrating Datadog's security solutions, and providing technical expertise throughout the sales cycle. The ideal candidate has deep experience with SIEM platforms, SOC workflows, endpoint security, and cloud security, along with strong presentation and communication skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the Enterprise Security Sales team in driving adoption of Datadog’s security offering within target strategic accounts.
  2. Collaborate with the broader sales team to identify and understand security requirements across Datadog’s Enterprise customer base.
  3. Conduct detailed product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of Datadog's security solutions.
  4. Provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle, including during customer evaluations and proof-of-value initiatives.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Datadog's security products, industry trends and current vulnerabilities, staying updated with the latest features and enhancements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Deep experience with SIEM platforms and detection pipelines, SOC workflows (alert triage, investigation, response), endpoint security (EDR/MDR), and the deployment and tuning of security controls in live customer environments.
  • Expert knowledge of the developer and DevOps ecosystems and application security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related security tools and technologies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.

Nice to have

  • Willingness to travel up to 30% to meet with customers and attend industry events.
