Security Software Engineer, Emerging On-prem AI Infrastructure

This role is for a Security Software Engineer focused on emerging on-prem AI infrastructure at Google. The engineer will work on operating system and hardware security features, design security solutions, and review code. While the role is within an AI-focused team and supports AI model development, the core responsibilities are in security engineering for infrastructure, not direct AI/ML model building or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work closely with Security teams inside of Google and Partner and customer teams working with us.
  2. Develop operating system and hardware security features for our product.
  3. Design security solutions within the scope of the broader area.
  4. Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

Skills

Required

  • software development in C++, C, or Python
  • developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
  • testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • software design and architecture
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field
