As an AI & Cybersecurity Solution Architect on Microsoft’s Security Custom Solutioning team, you will be the senior technical voice on Microsoft’s most strategic AI security pursuits across ASEAN. You’ll translate complex client business requirements into custom security architectures for very large, complex AI and cybersecurity solutions, helping our largest enterprise customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the broader APJ region safely adopt frontier AI while meeting evolving regulatory and governance requirements. This opportunity will allow you to apply deep and scarce AI security expertise to the region’s most consequential engagements, build executive-level trusted advisor relationships, and shape the worldwide Security Custom Solutioning practice.

Responsibilities
Lead AI security pre-sales for the largest, most complex pursuits across ASEAN — owning the technical solution narrative from discovery through proposal, including AI governance, model and data risk, agentic AI security, data protection, and regulatory alignment with frameworks and regional privacy regulations.
Translate client business requirements into custom security architectures for very large, complex AI and cybersecurity solutions on Microsoft Cloud (Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Sentinel, Security Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft 365 Copilot), and define and document the architecture through architecture description documents, decision logs, and requirements/constraints traceability.
Deliver customer-facing AI security workshops and executive briefings that accelerate customer decision-making and shorten sales cycles — partnering with field sales, account teams, CSU, and the ISV/partner ecosystem across ASEAN to qualify, scope, and shape multi-million-dollar pursuits.
Act as the trusted senior advisor to customer CISOs, Chief AI Officers, and enterprise architects, gathering insights from a broad range of stakeholders to shape both the definition and ongoing execution of engagements and translate technical depth into risk-adjusted business outcomes.
Use an evidence-based approach to represent the customer as an advocate and share insights with Product Engineering and the broader business, helping Microsoft’s AI security technologies, products, services, and offerings better meet customer needs across the region.
Generate new and improved intellectual property in AI security, identify patterns across business and technology areas, drive re-use of IP and recommended practices in both pre-sales and delivery, and contribute to internal and external technical communities.
Lead virtual teams around AI security technologies and customer challenges by sharing strategic, technical input with technical teams and the broader Microsoft community — coaching architects, sellers, and CSAs across ASEAN and feeding regional learnings back into Microsoft’s worldwide Security Custom Solutioning practice.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
OR equivalent experience
2+ years managing multiple projects or portfolios
1+ year(s) experience leading blended, multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security) OR equivalent experience
Demonstrated depth in AI security — securing generative AI workloads, AI governance frameworks, model and data risk, prompt and agent security, and AI regulatory compliance
Experience leading enterprise pre-sales pursuits across multiple ASEAN/APJ markets, including delivery of customer workshops, architecture authoring, and executive presentation
Technical or Professional Certification in Security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, AI-102) and/or industry experience in financial services, energy, aviation, manufacturing, or public sector
