Buyer role focused on sourcing automotive parts (SCR/Urea Tanks, Fuel Tank components) and managing supplier relationships for Ford. Responsibilities include commercial negotiations, cost targets, supplier strategy, and managing supply chain issues for ICE to BEV migration.

What you'd actually do

  1. Establish/strengthen global supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps for SCR/Urea Tanks & Directed Tier 2 & Directed Tier 3 components to the Fuel Tanks
  2. Lead process to source on time and satisfy program targets, including working closely with PD to develop forward model cost targets.
  3. Drive/ lead Best Cost at J1, both through initial sourcing and design changes
  4. Lead design competitions and market tests.
  5. Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost, etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation.
